Lisa Reilly

Psychotherapist, counsellor, and humanitarian sector consultant with over two decades of experience spanning engineering, international field work, security risk management, and mental health. She lived and worked across Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sudan, and South Sudan before returning to the UK, where she served as Executive Director of the Global Interagency Security Forum (GISF) from 2011 to 2023 — developing it into the world's leading platform for security risk management in the aid sector. Lisa holds a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling, a Certificate in Trauma Focused Therapy, and is a Registered Member of the BACP. She is a founding member of the Duty of Care Alliance, a member of the WFP Security Advisory Board, and a Trustee of the Proper Support Trust. Her work sits at the intersection of staff safety, mental health, and organisational wellbeing in humanitarian contexts.
